A Texas Desal Delegation attended the International Desalination Association (IDA) World Congress 2015 last week in San Diego, California.

Attendees toured the Carlsbad Seawater Desalination Plant, the largest desalination plant in the Western Hemisphere. The Desalination plant, located at the Encina Power Station, will provide 50 million gallons of desalinated seawater per day. Significant economic benefits for the region include the creation of 2,500 jobs during construction and approximately 25 full-time employees and 175 indirect jobs once the facility is in operation, and $50 million in annual spending throughout the region once operational.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation to IDE Technologies & Poseidon Water for the in-depth tour.
